Summary
A bridge across the river Paglia outside Acquapendente. The modern bridge is apparently after Pope Gregory XIII who in 1578 ordered a ferry crossing be provided for pilgrims.
John Evelyn describes the stone bridge as:
”Here we pass a stone bridge, built by Pope Gregory XIV.”
