Summary
Once a town, now a southeastern suburb of Paris, southwest of the Bois (forest) de Vincennes and its pont (“bridge”). In the 16th and 17th centuries, the town was the headquarters of the Huguenot churches in France.
John Evelyn visited the Temple des Protestants here on 6 March 1643.
