Summary

The Bullicame (formerly Bulicame) is a source of water hot sulfur (about 58 ° C), located just outside Viterbo , to the west of the city’s historical center .

The Bullicame is the best known of the many thermal and hypothermal springs fed by the largest thermal basin of Viterbo, along with other sources, Carletti, San Sisto; Bagnaccio , Zitelle, Parade Ground, and many others. Since the end of the twentieth century the source showed a progressive decrease in flow.

John Evelyn describes Bullicame as:

”Near the town [of Viterbo] is a sulphurous fountain, which continually boils.”
