Armand Jean de Vignerot du Plessis (2nd Duke of Richelieu)

The great-nephew of Cardinal Richelieu (to whose dukedom he succeeded), he became a general of the gallies in 1642.  In 1646 he become Governor of Le Havre.

He was the son of Francis Vignerot Pont-Courlay who was the Governor of Le Havre before him.
